TRAILER TRASH

Good morning freaks. Tuesday is upon us once more, and you know what that means, TRAILER TRASH. Some beauties today, please enjoy, comment, feedback, suggest, discuss, you get the idea.

A shocking trailer but amazing movie. THE childhood fantasy classic in my opinion.

Everything a trailer should be. Great editing, brilliant soundtrack and more interestingly, no dialogue. By the time you get to the end not only are you sucked in and on edge, your new number 1 priority in life is to see this movie.

I opted for the Blu-ray trailer here over the original Japanese, it just flows better and shows more of the footage you really wanna see, like Tetsuo’s transformation.

More next week!

Dan McPharlin – Making Up A Changing Mind

One of my favorite artists working today is Dan McPharlin. I’m always in awe of his sharp, clean geometry, fresh palette and incredible Sci-Fi vision. This recent E.P cover is no exception. As usual, this piece has a lovely nostalgic feel to it, reminding me of classic 70′s pulp sci-fi book covers which I LOVE!

Blood Guts and lots of beer

If you went to Standon Calling the other week and saw this person stumbling around…

…that was me. If you didn’t go and haven’t been before I’d reccommend it. Awesome little festival, super friendly people, no crowds, chilled atmosphere and good music. Already looking forward to next years.

Nerd Alert

If you happen to be going to Standon Calling festival this weekend and you see a drunk stumbling round with this coming out of his chest, come and say hello.

Large Martin A Cometh!

I like ladies, I also like robots. There is a man who paints both of these things so well, so beautifuly dark and dynamic, that whenever I look at his work it makes me want to never touch a paintbrush again as I know I’ll never get near this guy. His name is Ashley Wood.

He’s been one of my all time favorite artists for years now and apart from painting THE most awesomest women, robots and monsters he also puts out the most high quality, hand finished scale replica robots I’ve seen so far. A while back I treated myself to his last release, Deep Powder Bramble and I’m so glad I did. The thing sold out pretty fast and when it arrived I couldn’t believe the size, quality and finish.

Well today has seen the release of the next in the series, Large Martin. These things are pretty pricey but if you find yourself a bit flush and your into this kind of thing, you will not be dissapointed.
